Concept
This is a female paper doll that represents me in modern times and the emerging future. She represents the lack of women in the automotive industry accompanied by the title "Inertia's Future" which metaphorically describes how society can use the law of inertia to apply force in order to start to drift into the future of women in the automotive industry and car racing. I researched and found only about a quarter of workers in the field are female. I used my interest and knowledge of German car companies to represent each outfit and a color from the German flag since the automotive industry is the largest industry in Germany. If this paper doll was a time capsule it would be from the future where the female percentage in the automotive industry has leveled to the same amount of men in the field and reflect how our world now is still working on moving away from sexism in society.
